The Space Needle
Built for the 1962 Worlds Fair, Seattles landmark undertook a dramatic millennium transformation, including complete renovation of the 520-foot high Observation Deck, and a new steel and glass base-level Plaza Building for retail and comfortable guest arrival. For the first time, permanent lighting illuminates the entire Needle. The conceptlighting that enhances, embraces and respects the monument and guest facilities without impeding the views. The goalsa transparent, radiant Plaza Building giving the structure form and grandeur, and enhancing certain space age forms for a retro look.

Montecasino
This grand scale mixed use project, encompassing a five-star hotel, multiplex cinema, theme retail malls, casino, aviary with show facility and gigantic parking garage was built on a fast track schedule. The entire project, including RDLDs lighting, was designed, constructed and installed in less than two years. The lighting goal was to create a sense of festive theatricality, making the South African Montecasino really seem like a Tuscan hilltop village.

The showpiece of San Franciscos Financial District, Embarcadero Center completely renovated all of its public areas. Ross De Alessi designed lighting for the exterior street and covered concourses, podiums and lobbies of this four city-block long facility.

The Pyramid Arena
Five thousand years after the first pyramid was built, the worlds third largest pyramid was erected in Memphis, Tennessee. The client presented RDLD with four goals: Accentuate The Pyramids shape, found it to its base, fit the countys tight budget, and form pyramid-shaped shadows on certain facades. Those goals all were met, and today, The Pyramid reflects the skys color day by day, often seamlessly blending structure and sky. At night, its edges are crisply defined, and its true shape is revealed.
